You are here because of HDMI audio output problem. This is what worked for me. 

Tried most suggestion on web: To make disabled visible under playback, scan hardware changes, update and also uninstall audio drivers.

I had issue with nothing visible under "Playback" related to HDMI.



Here is what I did: In device manager checked if any related device is disabled and enabled it.  This resolved the issue and my TV is visible in output device.
